Laforest studies biology at Lincoln University, where she maintains a 3.3 GPA.
She was recently chosen to represent Lincoln among a chosen few selected for the McKay Orthopedic Research Laboratory ORS Conference Grant Award.
Character
Laforest, now a senior, has earned the right to be called captain as she leads by example. She is diligent in both her academic and athletic pursuits, and can be relied on complete her tasks. In her effort to lead by example, Laforest holds everyone accountable.
Community
Laforest prides herself on being involved in the community at Lincoln.
She recently led her team on a campus clean-up and also participated as a volunteer official at youth track meets this past summer.
Laforest volunteered with the Chester CityTeam while home from school, as well. She helped serve the homeless and provided her services assisting with local election campaigning.
Competition
Since arriving at Lincoln, Laforest has been outstanding for the Lions. She is in her third year participating on the team and exhibits exemplary leadership.
