Women’s Basketball

Victoria Onozie



Onozie is an accomplished student - and one that excels in a very difficult and competitive major. She has maintained a 3.53 GPA in her biology department and has plans to attend medical school and become an Obstetrics and Gynecological Physician. 

She is active in her major and had a competitive internship last summer working with an Endocrinologist in her home state of Texas. Onozie has shown perseverance and dedication maintaining her GPA while competing in two time intensive sports.


Onozie demonstrates exceptional character on and off the court. She is an exemplary teammate and shows dedication towards honing her craft and being the best teammate she can be. She is extremely coachable and has a positive attitude when it comes to helping her teammates and classmates succeed. 

Onozie has faced a serious ankle injury this season but has stayed behind her teammates and encouraged them to keep fighting during her absence from the court. She worked through a painful rehab to finish her senior season with her teammates.


Onozie has assisted in completing volleyball community engagement initiatives through Livingstone’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and through her individual team. She has participated in Overton’s Jump Rope club meetings, reading initiatives, and the Thanksgiving Food Drive.

Onozie is extremely active in helping her community and those around her. 


Onozie has been a four-year starter and consistent leader for the Blue Bears. Heading into the season, she was named an All-CIAA preseason selection for the volleyball team.

She is a dual sport student-athlete and consistently demonstrates incredible work-ethic in both avenues. Onozie has amassed over 1,200 total attacks, 316 digs, and 44 service aces for her career despite a serious injury this season that sidelined her for several weeks. 

She shows tenacity on the court despite her quite demeanor and serves a leader for her teammates in all facets.
